Melvin Smith and his crew from Melvin’s Concrete Work finished the foundation this morning. These poor guys, along with our committee member Gary Mathews, were up until 3 AM because Mother Nature decided to send a rain to make the job harder. They were all back at it by 9 this morning to finish the job. The grounds people from Central will spread out the dirt after it dries. We want to thank Melvin and his men for their dedication and hard work.

We also thank Pat Barone of Crossroads Riding Center, which is across the street from the cemetery. Ms Pat not only allowed the men access to her facilities, she also provided water without charge that was needed in the wee hours of the night.

We have taken a huge step this week but we have so many more to go.
